Ter Stegen built a wall in Dortmund: "BVB could have scored more goals, we are happy with the point"

"Barcelona" ended their first UEFA Champions League match with a score of 0-0 and had to kiss the hands of Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the locker room.

On Tuesday evening, the Catalans faced off against Dortmund's "Borussia". Despite having several opportunities, BVB players were left without a goal and a victory, but the hosts were not intimidated by the opponents' defense – they were only defeated by Ter Stegen.

The goalkeeper repelled four dangerous shots and also stopped Marco Reus from the penalty spot.

"They had several great opportunities", – Ter Stegen admitted the opponents' advantage in attack.

"We were not very organized. Playing like this against such an opponent, it's hard to avoid the kind of danger we faced today. I'm happy to take a point.

We didn't play badly, but we know where we need to improve our game. Ultimately, a point is fair for both teams", – said the goalkeeper.

Asked about the penalty kick, Ter Stegen replied: "Reus doesn't have just one shot direction, so it was difficult to predict. I just felt that he would aim to the left and I'm glad I was able to repel it."
