The Belgian national team lost 0:1 to the French national team in the semifinals, so they will want to finish the championship with a victory in St. Petersburg. It is believed that Th. Meunier, who missed the semifinal due to accumulated yellow cards, will return to the starting lineup.
"We are better than England. We want to win Saturday's match, because third place in this championship is a minimal achievement for us. We defeated the English in the group stage, now we can do it again," confidently said Th. Meunier at the press conference.
Both teams met in the final matches of Group G in Kaliningrad, with Belgium winning 1:0. It is worth mentioning that in that match, the main lineups did not play. At that time, both teams had already secured a place in the quarterfinals.
