On Monday, the teams of Group B and Group C will finish their EURO 2020 group stage battles. The situation in Group B is clear - Belgians are going to the quarterfinals, but even the team with the highest FIFA ranking is not calm about the first place in the group. Belgium faces a trial of Finland and ironically, Finns still aim for the first place in the group. Of course, the Finns need to win today, which is not very realistic, considering how Belgium played the first two matches. One of the tournament favorites had some problems with the Danes, but Kevin De Bruyne quickly solved them. Although Belgium won the first two matches, a loss today would mean that the team could fall to third place in the group, while a draw would guarantee the first position. In the other pair in this group, Denmark and Russia will have a duel today. Both teams are still fighting for a place in the knockout stage, despite the fact that the Danes have zero points. Still, even with zero points, the Danes realistically aim to take the second place in the group if they manage to beat the Russians, and the Finns lose to the Belgians. Everything would then be decided by goal difference, so the Danes need a victory with a large goal difference. The situation for the Russians is much more comfortable. A draw tonight is enough for their team, and if the Finns do not cause a sensation, it would secure the second place in the group for Russia. It's interesting that although the Danes currently have no points, the bookmakers rate their chances of moving to the next stage in Group B the highest after Belgium. In Group C - the fight for the second place. The situation in Group C is much simpler. The Netherlands have already secured the first place here and can face North Macedonia completely relaxed. There will be no pressure on the shoulders of North Macedonian footballers, as even a victory tonight would not give them theoretical hopes of rising to at least third place. Everything will be decided in Bucharest today, where Ukraine and Austria will have a duel. Both teams currently have three points each, so they will clarify the fate of the second place. Ukraine is in a better position in terms of goal difference, as even a draw today would guarantee them the second place in the group. A draw would not allow Austrians to rise above the third place, but four points should be enough to move forward as one of the best third-placed teams. Even a loss in these matches would not block the way to the quarterfinals for any team so far, but then they would have to look at the third places in other groups. Schedule of matches on the 11th day: 19:00 North Macedonia - Netherlands 19:00 Ukraine - Austria 22:00 Finland - Belgium 22:00 Russia - Denmark
