The 2023-2024 Lithuanian seniors (50+) futsal championship has started

Molėtai started the 2023-2024 season of the Lithuanian senior (50+) futsal championships on Saturday.

This season's championship features eight teams - Kaunas "Phoenix", Kaunas "73 United", Panevėžys "Ekrano seniors", Jonava "Klevas", Šiauliai VFK, Visaginas "Inter veterans", Alytus "Dainava" and Vilnius "Nerealas".

The teams will play each other in a round-robin system over four weekends, and the team with the most points will be crowned the champions of the championship.

In the first round, there was only one team that managed to secure the maximum number of points - "Dainava", which won both games played.

The team from Alytus defeated the representatives of the capital in the first match, and later crushed Šiauliai VFK players 4-0.

Meanwhile, Šiauliai, along with "Ekrano seniors", were the two teams that remained without points - both teams not only lost both games played, but also did not score any goals.

Three teams - "Klevas", Kaunas "Phoenix" and "73 United" each collected four points and currently share second to fourth places.

Vilnius "Nerealas" - Jonava "Klevas" 3:3;

Šiauliai VFK - Alytus "Dainava" 0:4.

The next round of the championship is scheduled for January 13.
