The most expensive Man Utd off-season newcomer Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola spoke to the press about why the player, currently under criticism, decided to move to England this summer.
According to the football player's representative, there were several reasons for this decision.
"Yes, Man Utd did not play in the Champions League and were not the local league champions, but they wanted Pogba the most.
Discussions with the 'Red Devils' have been going on for two years and they even brought in another player, Sergio Romero, to help.
This summer, Paul was offered a contract by one Premier League team and two from other countries. Pogba declared that Man Utd is in his heart, the Manchester team's leadership also wanted him, and the desire was expressed by coach Jose Mourinho.
Looking from the player's perspective, choosing Real Madrid and competing in La Liga, and the Champions League would have been easier, but the defender wanted a bigger challenge," Raiola said.
