On Thursday morning, the airplane carrying the German national football team had to make an emergency landing in the Scottish city of Edinburgh, according to lrytas.lt. The German Football Federation stated on their social media platform "Twitter" that the decision to land the airplane forcibly was made as a precaution. "First of all - safety. For safety reasons, we had to stop in Edinburgh. Individual trips to other destinations are planned from here," the statement reads.
