In recent weeks, there have been reports in the football world that "Al Ahli" was preparing to acquire Madrid "Real" representative Vinicius for a crazy sum at the end of August.

According to the media, the total value of the deal, including the player's annual salary (350 million euros), could have exceeded one billion euros.

As "Al Ahli" director Khaled Al Issa spoke to local media, such plans did indeed exist, but they were disrupted by an unexpected reason.

"We planned to invite a very high-caliber forward, Vinicius, but there was an unexpected turn of events during the negotiations.

Due to the courses for professional football players, our team had to lose center forward Firas Al-Braikan, and then our priorities in the player market changed.

"Al Ahli" shifted its focus to Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney, and ultimately the aforementioned Englishman arrived in Saudi Arabia," assured Kh. Al Issa.
