After a unsuccessful start of the season and a loss in the last round 0-2 against Zaragoza, Chuchi Cosas resigned from the position of head coach of Vitoria.

C.Cosas, who took over the reins of Vitoria club in August, himself submitted a resignation statement, which was accepted by the club's president Dimitrijus Pitermanas. He collected only twelve points in eighteen matches of this season.

The temporary coach of Alaves became C.Coso's assistant Juan Carlos Oliva, while another member of the coaching staff, coach Jordi Garcia, was dismissed.

However, the 37-year-old coach will not leave the club, but will become a technical secretary, thus continuing his long-term partnership with the club's owner, Ukrainian businessman D.Pitermanu.
