The future of football - in the hands of UEFA and their member organizations. On Tuesday, a decision will be made regarding the remainder of the season. Tonight, a video conference is being held with all of Europe's football elite - 55 UEFA members, representatives of clubs, leagues, federations, and unions. The discussion is about the impact of the coronavirus on not only national championships but also all UEFA tournaments. The main question is what the future of the 2020 European Championship will be, as it also determines the fate of the 2019-20 club season. Representatives of leagues and clubs, of course, want priority to be given to finishing the club season, which may extend into the summer. For this reason, the European Championship may have to be postponed to the following year. According to "The Athletic," UEFA may agree to such a decision, but they will demand 300 million euros from their countries, leagues, and clubs to cover the costs of moving the tournament. It is worth mentioning that according to the initial plan, the European Championship was supposed to start on June 12.
