The new head coach of the Austrian national team is Marcel Koller.

The former player of the Swiss national team, who has signed a contract until the end of 2013, will replace recently dismissed Dietmar Constantini.

However, in the last European Championship qualifying matches against Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Austria will be temporarily led by the federation's sports director Willi Ruttensteiner.

Meanwhile, the 50-year-old Koller will start his work on November 1st and will strive to help Austria secure a spot in the 2014 World Cup.

His debut will take place in a friendly match against Ukraine on November 15th.

Throughout his career, Koller has coached "St. Gallen," "Koln," "Bochum," and other clubs.
