Two Scottish clubs - the Lithuanian Edinburgh and the legendary Glasgow - clashed over the talented teenager from Romania, Dumitru Copil.

The 17-year-old striker, who has also impressed the British media, said he was almost ready to accept the offer from "Celtic," but agent Adrian Stefanescu told BBC television otherwise.

"Hearts' offer is higher than Celtic's," the agent said. "I think Dumitru will choose the team from Edinburgh. He really liked the city and the new people he met."

D. Copil, whose market value currently stands at about 250 thousand pounds, is already being compared to Gheorghe Hagi - the greatest Romanian footballer of all time.

"He is like Hagi, but in terms of playing style and aggressiveness, he is more similar to Frank Lampard (Chelsea's attacking midfielder) - said the young talent's coach Arpadas Cserneczky from Arad's Atletico team.
