The project "LadyGolas", which started in 2016, will involve 166 teams from general education schools in Lithuania this year. The girls are eagerly anticipating these exciting indoor football games, but the wait is almost over - the first match will take place on January 30th.
This year marks the seventh season of the "LadyGolo" games known for the teams' perseverance, dynamism, and creativity. The new start for the renowned "LadyGolo" games will take place in the lively Klaipėda with its sounds of waves and in Vilkaviškis, known for its tradition of nurturing talent.
The games will consist of two age divisions - U12 (students from 5th-6th grades and younger) and U14 (students from 7th-8th grades and younger). The first division will include 80 teams, while the second will have 86 teams.
All match schedules and results can be seen and followed on the website www.lietuvosfutbolas.lt.
On January 30th, the first teams from the U14 division A group will step onto the court in the port city: Kartena School-Multi-Functional Center, Klaipėda Vita Progymnasium, Klaipėda Gymnasium, and Saugai Jurgis Mikšas Primary School.
On that day, the Bartninkai town will also resonate with the rhythm of indoor football. The first team from Gražiškiai Gymnasium's Bartninkai Jonas Basanavičius branch, Kazimieras Barsauskas School-Multi-Functional Center's first team, Kazimieras Barsauskas School-Multi-Functional Center's second team, and Kybartai "Saulės" Progymnasium's U14 team will hit the court in Gražiškiai Gymnasium's Bartninkai Jonas Basanavičius branch sports hall.
From February 1st, students from the capital region will also join the games. The U14 Vilnius group A matches will take place at Pagiriai Gymnasium, where the hosts will compete against Rūdiškės Gymnasium students and Grigiškės Gymnasium students for a spot in the regional final.
In the U14 Vilnius group C, "Sietuva" Progymnasium, January 13th Progymnasium, Sofija Kovalevskaja Progymnasium, and VšĮ "Gravitas schola" will compete. The matches will be played in Vilnius January 13th Progymnasium sports hall.
