After finishing the Lithuanian football season, enthusiasts can already choose the best football players and coaches of the year - the elections of the best organized by the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) have begun.
In general, the best Lithuanian football player will be elected for the 47th time, and the best player playing in Lithuania for the 20th time. The best young player and coach playing in Lithuania have been elected since 2008.
According to the longtime organizer of the elections, the manager of the competition department of LFF, Romas Pikčilingis, the elections of the best are a necessary highlight at the end of the season and a part of our country's football culture.
"The best football players and coaches are elected all over the world. In Lithuania, this work was started by the football patriarch known as Stasys Paberžis. We are pleased to continue this tradition. We invite fans to express their opinion and evaluate the efforts of the best-performing football players and coaches," said R. Pikčilingis.
Last year, the best football player in general was Darvydas Šernas, playing in Lithuania - Dominykas Galkevičius, and the prizes for the best young player and coach went to Tadas Eliošius and Igor Pankratjev, respectively.
The laureates will be chosen by experts and football fans for almost two weeks, and their votes will be equally proportionate. Voting is possible until November 21 on the official website of the Lithuanian Football Federation [LFF.lt](http://www.lff.lt).
The winners of the best elections will be awarded during the Lithuania football season closing celebration planned for November 25th.
