Striker Edin Dzeko, who scored six goals in the first matches, was recognized as the best player of the English Premier League in August.
It is interesting to note that 25-year-old Dzeko, who arrived in Manchester for more than 30 million euros from Wolfsburg in January of this year, scored only twice in the Premier League last season.
Meanwhile, the best coach award went to "Man Utd" manager Sir Alex Ferguson, whose team won three out of three possible victories. The Scottish coach won the prize, awarded since 1993, for the 26th time in his career.
"Man City" also won three matches, but they are in second place in the league table behind "Man Utd" due to a worse goal difference.
Four of Dzeko's goals were scored against "Tottenham".
