32-year-old Barcelona forward Luis Suarez underwent a successful knee operation on Sunday. Yesterday we wrote that the Uruguayan would need surgery, as his knee injury recurred in the match against Atletico Madrid. The first reports indicated that Suarez would be out for a month due to this surgery, but the prognosis did not confirm - even sadder news reached Barcelona. The official statement indicates that the forward will be unable to play for four months. This means that he will only return to the field at best in early May. For Barcelona, this is a huge loss - Suarez scored 14 goals and made 11 assists in 24 matches this season. It is believed that Barcelona will look to strengthen their midfield position this winter.
