The captain of "Eintracht" who laid the opponent's coach on the ground received a strict punishment

Frankfurt's "Eintracht" captain David Abraham paid dearly for a collision with the opposing team's coach.

The incident occurred last weekend when the "Eintracht" team was away playing against "Freiburg."

The 33-year-old defender rushed to retrieve a ball that had gone out of bounds during extra time, but in doing so, he pushed Christian Streich, who was standing near the sidelines, causing him to fall to the ground after the collision.

Following the episode, a huge scuffle broke out between players from both "Eintracht" and "Freiburg," and at the end of it, both D. Abraham and one of the opponents were shown a red card.

Later on, when tensions had eased, D. Abraham had a conversation with the rather jovial "Freiburg" coach.

However, this behavior cost the player dearly – he was handed a seven-week suspension. This means that he will not be able to play in any "Bundesliga" matches this year.

He will also have to pay a fine of up to 25,000 euros.
