The team's legionnaire from the Czech Republic, Vladimir Šmiceras, confirmed that the team's coach Rafael Benitez stated that his career at Liverpool is nearing its end.
The midfielder, who has played little this season, also confirmed that he will leave the finalists of the UEFA Champions League this summer. For now, his former club is considered the most likely contender to acquire the 31-year-old footballer.
"Yes, I will leave Liverpool," said the Czech. "I recently spoke with R. Benitez, and he told me openly that he does not want to extend the contract."
