Dortmund's "Borussia" has reached the Champions League semi-finals again after 11 years.
In the second leg of the quarterfinals, BVB dramatically defeated "Atletico" 4:2, with an overall score of 5:4 to advance to the next stage.
In the comeback match, the first goals were scored by "Borussia" players. Julian Brandt and Ian Maatsen scored in the 34th and 39th minutes.
A triple substitution made by Diego Simeone paid off. Mats Hummels' own goal and Angel Correa's shot allowed "Atletico" to take the lead in the series.
The Dortmund team did not give up. In the 71st minute, Niclas Fullkrug equalized the series, and three minutes later Marcel Sabitzer extended the victory.
In the semi-final series, "Borussia" will play against Paris Saint-Germain.
