Over the weekend in Jonava, the Lithuanian seniors (50+) futsal championship ended, where the winners and prize winners were revealed.
Eight teams had to play one last game each in the final round of the tournament, but later matches were played based on mutual agreement of the teams and for specific positions (the last two teams played for 7th place, the first two for 1st place, and so on).
The tournament was won by Kaunas "Feniksas". In the final regular match, they defeated Alytus "Dainava", and in the decisive match for the gold they also defeated Jonava's FVK Klevas.
The battle for the third position also involved penalty kicks. The last prize went to the Šiauliai VFK team, which first crushed Panevėžys "Ekrano seniors" in their first match of the day, and then won over "Dainava" in the match for the bronze after penalties.
The winners were awarded with trophies and medals.
