In the Bundesliga, something is happening that German football fans haven't seen in a long time. Leverkusen's "Bayer" footballers, in historically good form, secured another important victory and did so against their main rivals.

Xabi Alonso's proteges crushed Munich's "Bayern" team 3-0.

In the first half, the visitors from Munich struggled to create chances, while on the other side of the field, "Bayer" found openings. Unmarked Josip Stanisic put the hosts ahead. By the way, he belongs to the "Bayern" team and is just on loan. This goal was his first in 18 months.

Alonso's team did not slow down in the second half. In the 50th minute, the outstanding Alejandro Grimaldo scored.

The unexpected starter in these matches was Jeremie Frimpong, but he didn't stay empty-handed either. The excellent attacking defender took advantage of Neuer leaving the goal empty and sent the ball from afar into the net - 3:0.

"Bayern" looked quite sluggish throughout all the matches and had no answer to "Bayer's" pace.

After this victory, the gap between the clubs in the league table is 5 points. There are 13 rounds left until the end of the season.

Other results:

"Bremen" 1:2 "Heidenheim"

"Eintracht" 1:1 "Bochum"

"Augsburg" 2:2 "Leipzig"

"M'Gladbach" 0:0 "Darmstadt"

"Union" 1:0 "Wolfsburg"

The last matches were strongly affected by the protests happening throughout Germany over the DFB's plans to sell shares in the Bundesliga to make a profit. The "Union" and "Wolfsburg" match was paused for 25 minutes, but it turned out that a winning goal was scored in the 70th minute of the first half, with added time.
