„TOPsport A lygos“ champion, the football club „Panevėžio“, started the cycle of friendly matches triumphantly. Gino Lettieri's team won against the team of the Baltic Football Academy with a late goal 1:0 (0:0).
In the first half, both teams created several opportunities to score. Kwadwo Asamoah had a couple of good chances, but the BFA goalkeeper saved the shots in both situations. In the 16th minute, he also dealt with Federico Palacios's attempt.
In the middle of the half, Vytautas Černiauskas cleared a dangerous ball headed by Martinas Perveinis, and later – after a rough mistake by M. Perveinis who rushed towards the goalkeeper, luckily, Rokas Lekiatas blocked the ball flying towards an empty net. Just before the break, F. Palacios and Noel Mbo missed grateful chances, their shots blocked by the goalkeepers.
After the break, Tomas Švedkauskas entered the game, Domantas Vaičekauskas actively played on the right side, Ignas Venckus and other young players appeared on the field.
Nojus Lukšys took a long shot, which was saved by the goalkeeper, but during a prolonged attack and confusion in the penalty area, N. Lukšys redirected the ball into the goal. This was one of the rare most dangerous attacks from both teams in the second half.
