Today, Austrian Kurt Jara stepped down from the position of head coach. This decision was made by mutual agreement between the coach himself and the club management.

This decision was made after K. Jara decided to leave the club after this season, and the club offered to terminate the contract with the coach immediately.

K. Jara took over at Kaiserslautern 14 months ago after losing his job at Hamburger SV. Last season, the Austrian saved Kaiserslautern from relegation from the Bundesliga, and now he leaves the club in a respectable 11th place.

Hans-Werner Moser, the coach of the amateur team, will be the club's coach for the remaining seven season matches.
