Netherlands Football Federation announced that Ronald Koeman has been appointed as the head coach of the national team. He was recently fired from his job in the ranks of Liverpool's "Everton". However, his compatriots trusted in his abilities, as before arriving at Merseyside he demonstrated great results at the wheel of "Southampton". The 54-year-old coach will face a very serious challenge with the "Oranje" team, as they did not even qualify for this year's World Cup in Russia. His contract will be valid until the end of the next tournament in Qatar. Koeman's task is to bring the national team back to football elite, as it currently occupies only the 21st position in the FIFA ranking.
