Defending champions of Italy, the players of AC Milan are showing very poor athletic form after the season restart.
On Sunday at the San Siro stadium, Stefano Pioli's team lost 2:5 to the Sassuolo team.
In the 9th minute, Olivier Giroud beautifully sent the ball into the goal, but after a VAR review, it was disallowed.
In the 19th minute, Sassuolo took the lead with Gregoire Defrel, and two minutes later, Davide Frattesi doubled the score.
The goals kept coming - in the 24th minute, Giroud managed to score his goal. However, in the 30th minute, the visitors' leader Dominico Berardi restored a two-goal lead.
At the beginning of the second half, Armando Lauriente converted from the penalty spot to make it 1:4. Matheus Henrique scored another goal for Sassuolo in the 79th minute, and soon after Divock Origi scored a consolation goal with a fantastic strike.
Today in the league table, AC Milan could drop as low as 6th place if results in other matches go unfavorably.
