London's "Arsenal" continues to struggle to find the key to victories in the English Premier League. The "Gunners" had to admit defeat at home with a score of 0:1 to "Burnley" in the 12th round of matches on Sunday. In the first half, "Arsenal" controlled the game, but the guests also had chances to score. However, the first half ended goalless. The second half was also started more actively by the hosts, but everything changed in the 58th minute when Granit Xhaka was sent off the field after a VAR review for unsportsmanlike conduct. With a numerical advantage, the "Burnley" players became more active and it paid off. In the 73rd minute, the guests scored after a corner kick, with "Arsenal" captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring an own goal. "The Gunners" tried to equalize after conceding, but the final whistle confirmed "Burnley's" minimal victory. This was already the third consecutive defeat for "Arsenal" in the Premier League.
In other matches, "Leicester City" easily secured a victory at home by defeating "Brighton" 3:0. All goals were scored in the first half - James Maddison scored twice, while Jamie Vardy netted once. After this victory, the "Foxes" are only a few points behind the leading "Tottenham" and "Liverpool" teams.
