The match in the English Premier League between two London teams Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal treated viewers to a spectacle of impressive beauty with some stunning goals.
Unfortunately, the beauty of the whole match was somewhat tarnished by the racist behavior of Tottenham fans.
In the tenth minute of the match, Arsenal's player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang successfully converted a penalty kick from eleven meters and put his team ahead. As he ran to celebrate with the fans, a banana was thrown from the Tottenham supporters' stand onto the pitch.
While there was not a big reaction in the stadium, the incident did not go unnoticed and it is believed that the culprit will be identified and suspended.
It is reported that seven fans were arrested during the North London derby.
Notwithstanding the deep-rooted Arsenal-Tottenham rivalry, I hope every Spurs fan can agree that the person who threw a banana at Aubameyang today is a racist scumbag who shames your club & should be banned for life.
