For many years, Eden Hazard's "love from a distance" for Real Madrid has finally reached a new level - the 28-year-old winger is now officially a part of the Spanish capital's team.
"Marca" announced in today's edition that Real Madrid has essentially reached an agreement with Chelsea. Hazard had previously stated his desire to leave the "Blues," so the deal will be completed as soon as the London club accepts Real's offer.
This information was partially confirmed by well-informed Belgian journalist in England, Kristof Terreur. He claims that Real is pressuring Chelsea for the player's sale, although a final agreement has not yet been reached, but all three parties already know how this story will end.
According to "Marca," Real Madrid has submitted a proposal of around 100 million euros, which they believe could be accepted in the coming days.
Hazard is expected to sign a six-year contract with Real. It is said that the Belgian will visit Madrid this April and get to know the city up close.
As captain of the Belgian national team, Hazard has been playing for Chelsea since 2012. During this time, he has played 341 matches for the club and scored 106 goals.
