“Žalgiris” defense line is preparing to supplement with legionnaires from Germany - an agreement has been reached with Kevin Vangu Phambu Bukusu.
The 22-year-old defender has played in the youth national teams of Germany and has been invited to the national team of Angola. For the past two seasons, he has represented the Austrian club “Wolfsberger AC.”
K. Bukusu started his football journey in the academies of his hometown clubs in Aachen, and at the age of thirteen moved to Bayer Leverkusen.
His first station in men's football was the Dutch team NEC Nijmegen, and for one season the player spent on loan at the “Helmond Sport” team.
Since 2022, the player has been playing in Austria.
In 2016-2017, he was called up to the German U-16 and U-17 national teams, playing in the final stage of the 2018 European U-17 Championship.
Due to his parents' heritage, in 2021 he was also invited to the Angolan national team.
The footballer has already arrived in Vilnius and watched the team's friendly match against Dainava Alytus. The contract with him will be signed after passing a medical examination.
He is the third foreign newcomer at “Žalgiris” - previously, defenders Myroslav Mazur and Joel Moutachy also joined the Vilnius team.
