FIFA has confirmed that the draw ceremony for the 2018 World Cup will take place on December 1 in the Russian capital, Moscow.
The prestigious event will be held in the 6,000 seat Kremlin concert hall, where the leadership of the communist party used to meet.
Russian Football President Vitaly Mutko said:
"We proposed to hold the draw ceremony in the Kremlin and FIFA did not object to this idea. We have already started preparations."
With just one week to go before the first World Football Championship in Eastern Europe, there are only 500 days left, and FIFA intends to send its representatives to evaluate Russia's readiness for the "warming up" event - the Confederations Cup.
