On Saturday, two matches of the 17th round of the "SMScredit.lt A lyga" took place in Lithuania.
At the Aukštaitija Stadium, Panevėžio "Ekranas" faced "Šiauliai". The Lithuanian champions snatched a narrow victory at the end of the match.
The Šiauliai team took the lead first as Arminas Vaskela scored a long-distance goal.
In the second half, the "Ekranas" team had nowhere to go, and in the 64th minute, the team's veteran Egidijus Varnas scored an impressive goal.
The final goal and winning goal were scored by Dovydas Norvilas in the 90th minute, giving Panevėžio team three points.
In the other match, Pakruojo "Kruoja" and Klaipėdos "Atlantas" battled it out. Surprisingly, Pakruojo team secured a 2-0 victory.
Ričardas Beniušis and Nerijos Mačiulis scored the goals for the winning team.
