Half of his life spent at the "Freiburg" club Christian Streich puts a dot.
The "Freiburg" club announced that after the end of the season, the club will part ways with the long-time team coach.
Having spent 29 years in the club, C. Streich coached the U19 team from 1995 to 2011, including four years as an assistant coach of the first team, and for the past 13 years he has been the head coach of this German team.
At the end of this era, the 58-year-old strategist was able to qualify for Europe twice with "Freiburg", and in 2022, he was very close to the trophy when the team lost in the German Cup final after a penalty shootout against "RB Leipzig".
However, in 2016, with Streich, "Freiburg" won the second Bundesliga.
The veteran will lead the team until the end of the season. Currently, they are in 9th place in the Bundesliga.
