UEFA has announced the three players who are nominated for the season's player award. According to the football organization, Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), and Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich) are in contention for the prestigious title. The list also reveals that for the first time in the past decade, Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) did not make it to the list. It is reported that Neymar (PSG) and L. Messi received the closest following De Bruyne, Lewandowski, and Neuer who each garnered 53 votes. Following them are T. Muller (Bayern, 41), Kylian Mbappe (PSG, 39), Thiago Alcantara (Liverpool, 27), Joshua Kimmich (26), and C. Ronaldo (25).
