The end of F. de Jongo's play: "Barcelona" confirmed the acquisition of the goalkeeper

"Barcelona" finally defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the battle for Frenkie de Jong's signature after intense recent days – the Catalans officially confirmed the acquisition of the player.
Last week, it was reported that F. de Jong had decided to accept PSG's offer, but immediately after that, the "Barcelona" management flew to Amsterdam, where after long discussions, they ultimately convinced the player to choose their club.
The attention "Barcelona" gave to F. de Jong left no room for another choice – he will become a Catalan player next summer. This season, he will finish playing for "Ajax".
The official statement announces that "Barcelona" will pay the Dutch club 75 million euros for the promising player. The deal also includes 11 million euros, which will be added to the total transfer sum based on the player's and club's achievements.
Upon arrival in Barcelona, the midfielder will sign a five-year contract.
According to various sources, F. de Jong will receive an impressive salary at "Barcelona" – 16 million euros per season. The Dutchman will become the second-highest-paid player in the team.
The 21-year-old player joined the "Ajax" system in 2015 for a fee of 1 million euros. Since then, he has played 64 matches and scored five goals.
