The League Cup ("Carabao Cup") will not disappear from television screens despite the increasing formats of European tournaments.

The Football League (EFL) organizing the cup has made a decision to leave everything as it is, announces "The Times."

The main point of discussion was the semi-finals, which in January consist of two matches, but they should remain in the schedule, adds "The Times" journalist Martyn Ziegler.

"Premier League clubs aim to have as few matches in the schedule as possible, as in the Champions League and Europa League, two or even four additional matches will be added.

FA Cup third and fourth round replays will probably be scrapped next year.
