One of the coaches of Machachkala, Roberto Carlos, stated that the club will seek to acquire London star Robin van Persie.
The famous Brazilian footballer also named London's "Chelsea" veteran Nicolas Anelka and rising "Santos" star Neymar among the candidates.
"We want to become a team of the same caliber as Madrid's "Real" or "Barcelona," Carlos told Canal Football Club television.
The Russian team already acquired Inter Milan's attacking leader Samuel Eto'o in the summer, who will be paid around 10 million euros per year, as well as Chelsea's full-back Yuri Zhirkov and PSV's Balazs Dzsudzsak.
However, the ambitions didn't end there - "Anzhi" owner Suleyman Kerimov, who ranked 118th in the Forbes list of the richest people on the planet, intends to continue attracting the brightest stars to Dagestan.
"Anelka is not the only player," Carlos said. "We are interested in Nene from PSG, Van Persie from Arsenal. Neymar? I have also spoken with him.
"If "Real," "Barcelona," or "Man Utd" cannot pay a certain amount for a player, we will pay it. Kerimov has the ability to offer as much as he wants."
The players of the Machachkala team live and train in Moscow for security reasons, and fly more than 2,000 kilometers to home games in Machachkala.
