However, Bayern Munich's coach Jupp Heynckes could not say whether the club's fans will see him defending the team's goal in the remaining months of this club season.
"We are not putting pressure on Manuel and we have not set a precise date for his return to the field.
I am convinced that we will see him playing in our team and in the World Championships, but the decision will have to be made by the athlete himself, after consulting with doctors.
