After the German government gave the green light for the continuation of professional football, Bundesliga officials have finally decided on the exact return date. On Wednesday, the government announced that the Bundesliga matches could be resumed in the second half of May. The exact date for the resumption of the championship was left to the league officials to decide. So, football, missed so much, will return to television screens on May 16. That weekend, all postponed matches of the 26th round will be played in the Bundesliga. The central match will take place in Dortmund, where Borussia will host Schalke. It is worth mentioning that the remaining championship matches will be played without spectators. The Bundesliga matches were suspended on March 13. There are still 9 rounds left to play until the end of the season. However, as the same journalist Christian Falk later reported, the Bundesliga leadership decided not to organize matches on Friday (May 15). This means that the championship will restart on Saturday, May 16.
