The famous gatecrasher Jimmy Jump goes bankrupt (VIDEO)

The famous gatecrasher Jimmy Jump, known for his unexpected ability to suddenly appear at the most unexpected places of various events, is going bankrupt.

It was reported by a Spanish sports magazine on Thursday.

It is said that Jimmy Jump, whose real name is Jaume Marquetas, can no longer pay the many fines imposed for his "jumps". Currently, the 38-year-old Catalan owes 280 thousand euros.

"I really don't have enough money to pay the fines imposed on me. Now they have accumulated to about 350 thousand US dollars (more than 280 thousand euros). I can't pay such a sum at once, so the court has decided that I have to give half of my salary per month," J. Marquetas reassured journalists.

The colorful "career" of Jimmy Jump began almost ten years ago, when the man managed to crash the "Formula 1" track in Spain while the drivers were doing their warm up laps and getting into starting positions.

According to the Catalan himself, his main goal is to entertain the public. However, sometimes he openly expresses his opinion about a particular event with his unexpected performances.

Jimmy Jump, who is a passionate fan of the "Barcelona" club, became famous for his adventures on football fields.

On July 4, 2004, Jimmy Jump broke into the "Estadio da Luz" arena in Lisbon, where the European Championship final match was played between the national teams of Portugal and Greece. The Catalan ran up to the then leader of the Portuguese team, Luis Figo, and waved a "Barcelona" club flag in his face.

This way, J. Marquetas once again reminded L. Figo that his betrayal will never be forgotten. In 2000, the Portuguese was tempted by millions offered by Real Madrid, secretly made a pre-contract with the team from the Spanish capital, and unexpectedly left "Barça" for many disappointed fans. In Catalonia, this was equivalent to a bomb explosion - the previously idolized by "Barça" fans L. Figo instantly became an object of ridicule, with his shirts being burned massively.

The next day after the incident with Jimmy Jump, local newspapers screamed: "Figo got what he deserved." Madrid called it a shameful incident, and the Portuguese press called it hooliganism, but ironically and sadly admitted that "Jimmy Jump was the only man who managed to break through the Greek defense" (Portugal lost to the new champions Greece 0:1).

J. Marquetas reluctantly talked about the incident, but eventually cut the chase without beating around the bush: "I threw the 'Barcelona' flag at Figo not for glory. I ran out so that everyone would know that that man is a cheap traitor."

On April 25, 2006, Jimmy Jump infiltrated the "El Madrigal" stadium during the Champions League match between "Villarreal" and London "Arsenal" and placed "Barcelona" shirts with number 14 in front of the French striker Thierry Henry from the London club. This way J. Marquetas expressed his desire to see the "gunners" captain in the Catalonia club. His efforts were not in vain: a year later, in 2007, Th. Henry signed a contract with "Barcelona".

The biggest uproar outside sports arenas created by Jimmy Jump was when he managed to break into the Royal Palace in Madrid and suddenly appeared behind the monarch himself while he was preparing to give an interview to journalists.

His "political career" in Catalonia did not end there. He managed to sneak into a press conference organized by the highest Spanish authorities unnoticed. Only a few minutes later, the politicians engrossed in important discussions noticed that a strange person with a red cap was sitting at the same table with them.

In the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the Catalan ran onto the field during the final match and tried to place a red Catalan cap called "barretina" on the golden Nike trophy awarded to the champions. Security guards managed to stop him right next to the trophy.

The last significant jump onto the field by Jimmy Jump was captured during the 2011 Champions League semi-final match between "Barcelona" and Madrid "Real".
