At the end of last year, the statue of Zlatan Ibrahimović in Malmö had to endure the wrath of fans. Vandals began their attacks after the footballer purchased 25% of Hammarby's club shares - this club from the capital of Sweden is one of the biggest competitors of Malmö in the league. During the attacks, the statue had its nose cut off, and eventually the artwork immortalizing Z. Ibrahimović was torn down. One of the club's fans, John Taylor, spoke to the Swedish publication "Aftonbladet," showing a part of the statue's nose that was cut off. "I want to emphasize that we do not condone acts of vandalism, but at the same time I understand why the supporters acted this way. I know where Zlatan's statue's nose is at the moment. It is in Malmö and was seen at a New Year's Eve party. Someone is wearing the cut-off nose as a scarf around their neck."
