The Fifth "Golden Ball" - In the Hands of C. Ronaldo

Today in Paris, the prestigious 2017 "Ballon d'Or" award ceremony took place, where the prize for the best footballer of the year was presented.

The "France Football" magazine selected Cristiano Ronaldo, the leader of Madrid's "Real" team, as the best footballer of the year, who last season won the two most important titles - the Champions League and "La Liga" with the club.

In second place was Lionel Messi, who had slightly better statistics last season but only won one King's Cup trophy with "Barcelona."

In third place was Neymar, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a record fee this summer. Also included in the top five were Gianluigi Buffon and Luka Modrić.

C. Ronaldo won the "Golden Ball" for the fifth time in his career - the same number of times as his biggest rival, Lionel Messi.
