On Thursday, the first promotional match for a place in the next season's "Bundesliga" championship took place.
In the first match, the team "Stuttgart" trying to maintain their place in the top division of German football, played a 2-2 draw at home with Berlin's "Union".
"Stuttgart" took the lead in the 42nd minute after a goal by C. Gentner, but during the next attack, "Union" equalized - S. Abdullah expertly stopped the ball in the penalty area and sent it into the goal.
The hosts started the second half more successfully. In the 51st minute, M. Gomez put "Stuttgart" in the lead when his shot ricocheted off a defender and into the goal.
However, the visitors did not give up and in the 68th minute, M. Friedrich equalized after a successfully taken corner.
Neither team could score again during the remaining time, and all questions will be answered in the return match on May 27.
