The fight for "Leipzig" defender intensifies: "Bayern" and "Real" show interest © JumpStory

London's "Arsenal" will face serious competition in the fight for the acquisition of 21-year-old "Leipzig" center-back Dayot Upamecano. Madrid-based newspaper AS reports that the promising Frenchman is also interested in at least two other European giants - Madrid's "Real" and Munich's "Bayern". "Arsenal" tried to sign D. Upamecano last winter, but "Leipzig" did not enter negotiations, and the price was not quite appealing to the "Gunners" - 60 million euros. "Bayern", in turn, is looking at candidates who could undoubtedly replace Jerome Boateng, who is likely to leave the club this summer. In the camp of the royal "Real" club, the greatest interest is shown by Zinedine Zidane, for whom the promising compatriot is already familiar. The fact that D. Upamecano will say goodbye to "Leipzig" next summer is quite likely, as his contract expires in July next year. The Frenchman, who joined "Leipzig" in 2017, played 29 matches this season and helped the team reach the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
