The fight for the last ticket to the semi-finals remains in the BYFL tournament.

The Baltic Youth Football League (BYFL) tournament has approached the semi-final stage. After this week, 7 out of 8 teams are already known, which will continue their performance in the battle for the U15 and U16 age divisions trophies.

This week, in the quarterfinals of the tournament, only one representative from Lithuania competed - Vilnius BFA youth under 15 team. They arrived in Riga on May 1st, hoping to avenge their same-aged counterparts at Ryga FS for the first loss suffered in the previous match 0:1.

This time, the match unfolded much more productively. RFS team took the lead with goals from Mikus Zėgelė (3 min.) and Zahar Maligin (23 min.), but in the first half, BFA managed to equalize the score with precise strikes from Lukas Skurvydas (24 min.) and Ignas Pukinskas (37 min.).

Unfortunately, the second half did not go well for the residents of Vilnius. Zahar Maligin quickly added two goals (44 and 48 min.), while Roland Isakas increased the gap for the locals (59 min.). At the end of the match, Artjom Kotov scored the final result 6:2.

Only one game is left in the quarterfinals - between "Kauno Žalgiris" FA and Vymsio MRJK. In the first encounter, the representatives from Estonia achieved an unexpected victory with a score of 5:1, so the Kaunas team will have a difficult task to overcome a 4-goal deficit.

These teams will meet on May 11 at 10 am at the VDU President Valdas Adamkus SC stadium. Just like all the BYFL tournament matches held in Lithuania, these will also be broadcasted on the futbolas.tv platform.
