The final decision on the "El Clasico" match - Monday (updated)

In Spain, in recent days, not only political passions are boiling - "La Liga" is intensively in dialogue with the Spanish Football Federation about the possibility of moving "El Clasico."

According to the current schedule, the clash between Madrid's "Real" and "Barcelona" clubs is supposed to take place next Saturday, but with protests against the Spanish government happening throughout Catalonia, serious doubts are being raised about the possibility of these matches taking place.

"La Liga" initially hoped to change the location - move the first "El Clasico" to the Spanish capital, where passions have not reached the same level as in the entire Catalonia region.

On Thursday, information spread in the country's media that the match definitely cannot take place on October 26, as planned before the season.

According to various sources, "La Liga" wants to move the match to December 7. Initially, there was a proposal to postpone it until December 18, but then the schedule overlaps with the King's Cup tournament.

"Marca" claims that the final decision on the date of "El Clasico" will be made on Monday.

Recall that Madrid's "Real" currently leads La Liga and has a 2-point advantage over "Barcelona."

The Spanish Football Federation has confirmed that the "El Clasico" scheduled for October 26 will be moved to another date. Now both clubs - "Real" and "Barca" - must agree on a precise date. This must be done over the weekend, and if both clubs do not do so, the decision will be made by the federation.
