On Thursday morning, representatives of Paris Saint-Germain club who arrived at the "La Liga" office were in for a surprise.
The organizers of the Spanish championship, more precisely the lawyer Juan de Diosas Crespo, refused to accept the transfer of 222 million euros for Barcelona's forward Neymar.
According to the rules of "La Liga", if you want to acquire a football player by paying the amount specified in his contract, it is not necessary to negotiate with the club - it is enough to transfer the money to the organizers of the league, who will later settle with the "injured" team.
"Marca" reports that Crespo, who has shaken the union, is closely related to Barcelona's leader Lionel Messi - he defended the Argentine in a four-match suspension ruling.
However, this setback will not stop PSG - French will file a complaint with FIFA, which has no legal grounds to restrict this transfer.
The "fair play" rules do not specify any prior restrictions - clubs' activities will be reviewed only after the player transfer window closes.
