The first Brazilian bandit riots were felt by Bosnian coaches

The coaches of the national football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina became the first to confirm that the talk about criminal elements raging in Brazil is not just empty words. National team strategist Safet Susic and his assistant Elvir Rahimic were attacked by armed bandits in Guarulhos town (Sao Paulo province), but everything ended without bloodshed.

The coaches of Bosnia and Herzegovina's national team said nothing to anyone on Sunday as they walked out through the gates of the team's base - they ignored the World Cup organizers' requirement to inform the security assigned to the team about possible walks outside the base. According to the rules, the team's players and administration must be accompanied by a security guard.

As soon as the men left the base, they were surrounded by three armed bandits on bicycles. They demanded all their money and valuables. However, the criminals' plans were thwarted by the sudden appearance of a police car.

The trio fled and neither of the Bosnian coaches was harmed. As S. Susic explained, he was not afraid of the bandits: "We were born and raised in Bosnia, where the streets can be even scarier."

The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is preparing in Guaruulhos town for the World Cup battles, and in Group F, the Bosnians will square off against Argentina, Nigeria, and Iran.
