The first "El Clasico" due to political conflict may take place not in Barcelona, but in Madrid.

The Spanish Football Federation has received a request from "La Liga" to move the first "El Clasico" match to the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium, as reported by "El Pais" and AS.

On October 26th, the Madrid "Real" and "Barcelona" teams are scheduled to face each other at the "Camp Nou" stadium. However, due to the current political situation and protests in Catalonia, there is a desire to change the location of the "El Clasico" match.

Currently, there are clashes with the Spanish police throughout Catalonia. Thousands of Catalans are protesting in the streets over the sentencing of nine political leaders who were detained in 2017 and sentenced to long prison terms this week.

It is well known that the clash between "Real" and "Barcelona" clubs in Spain is not just a simple football match - it involves many political factors. For this reason, "La Liga" wants to move the first "El Clasico" match to Madrid, where life has been significantly safer in recent days.

However, such a change may not be well received by both clubs and fans who have already purchased tickets to the "Camp Nou" stadium.

The rescheduled "El Clasico" match will be played on March 1st.
