Marko Grujić has agreed to a five-year contract with "Liverpool" and will be acquired from the "Red Star" team for 7 million euros in January.
The highly-rated Serbian youth national team player is set to fly to England this week to undergo a medical check-up.
"Liverpool" will pay 7 million euros to the Serbians, however, "Red Star" will refund one million euros to them for the opportunity to have Grujić on loan basis until the end of the season. "Red Star" will also receive 10 percent of the next Grujić sale price.
The club's chief executive, Ian Ayre, flew to Belgrade last week and agreed on all terms for the transfer of Jurgen Klopp's first purchase at "Liverpool" club. There were fears that the player could be acquired by Inter Milan, but it is said that the 19-year-old was most intrigued by a conversation with Klopp himself, who personally told him why he wanted to see him in his team.
Grujić is a product of the "Red Star" academy and made his debut in the Serbian national team in 2013 at the age of only eighteen. This season he scored five goals, and during the summer he played for the Serbian youth national team, which won the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
