The first season of Women's League I has started

On Friday, the final matches of the 8th round of the championship were played. The team in the leader position before the summer break will face MFA "Žalgiris" B-MRU team.

The team at the top of the tournament table hosted "Šešupė" and scored 32 goals without reply. In this match, Justina Blaževičiūtė and Austėja Petkevičiūtė each scored 6 goals, Radvilė Kelečiūtė and Milda Ivanciūtė got poker, Elena Ostrauskaitė and Emilija Gerasimova scored hat-tricks, Monika Sušinskytė scored a brace, while Neda Klezaitė, Laura Grucytė, and Patricja Penkauskaitė each added one goal.

The "Gintra" reserve team remains in second place after a 5:3 victory against "Bites". Vilnius team took the lead after goals from Ariana Lickūnaitė and Tereza Romanovskajos (own goal). Saulutė Railaitė's hat-trick allowed the Šiauliai team to overturn the result, but in the 75th minute, Agata Marija Kairytė leveled the score. However, soon after Saulutė Railaitė and Manfredos Bartusevičiūtės goals secured a convincing advantage for the Šiauliai team.

Marta Lipnickaitė was unstoppable in the first half and scored four goals for "Žalgiris" against the "Hegelmann" reserves. The representatives of Kaunas district did not give up and responded with a brace from Guostės Ivoškaitė and a goal from Ema Kriaučiūnaitė. At the end of the match, Elzė Kiškūnaitė sealed the final result - 5:3 in favor of the hosts.

"Džiugas" and "Vilkija" teams played a 1:1 draw. The hosts briefly led after a penalty converted by Kornelija Kačenauskaitė, but the visitors' striker Gabija Malakauskaitė equalized the score at the beginning of the second half.

"Utenos Utenis" moved up to the eighth position after a 16:0 away victory against FK "Saned" B team. Eglė Jurgelionytė contributed with a poker, Airinga Anavičiūtė and Katrina Zajac scored hat-tricks, Ugnė Kvartūnaitė with a brace, Gabija Repečkaitė, Paulė Zlataravičiūtė, Evija Berentaitė, and Gabrielė Savickaitė with single goals.

FA "Šiauliai"-ŠG and FK "Nevėžis" took advantage of playing their matches earlier. Šiauliai won 6:0, with Sonata Duriene scoring three times, Samanta Karasiovaite twice, and Augustė Augėnaite once.
