One season borrowed Real Madrid defender Royston Drenthe.
The versatile 23-year-old footballer, who can play on the left, did not fit into the plans of the Spanish vice-champion's coach Jose Mourinho, so he was allowed to join the ranks of the highest league newcomers.
Drenthe moved to Madrid in 2007, but did not establish himself in the main lineup. Last season he played only 10 matches, and appeared in the starting lineup of the national championships only three times.
The ambitious club from Alicante "Hercules" also added such well-known players as David Trezeguet and Nelson Haedo Valdez this summer.
